The strange part is that Proof is shot and killed in Eminem’s music video "Like Toy Soldiers". Proof is in the hospital and is dying of a gunshot wound. The doctors try to revive him but they can't. Eminem and members of D12 attend his funeral. Its very weird how this became reality.

Damn. I always thought he was a pretty good rapper when he wanted to be. He always seemed to remind me of Fatlip from The Pharcyde. Both major members of hip-hip groups who released solo albums with titles that reference musicians from years ago.

I just heard on my local radio (Detroit 95.5) that Proof pulled out his gun and took the first shot. He was shot in retaliation.

It may just be my imagination, but it seems being a rapper can be fatal.

I think the odds of a rapper being shot are somewhat higher than the odds of someone like Donny Osmond being shot, although both, in my opinion, should avoid places where music lovers hang out.

Rappers also die in other ways, keep in mind. Alternative rapper and producer J Dilla died from Lupus nephritis a few months ago.
