There is a song that includes a line of words similar to "now you are a young (mom?) with a child of your own."

It is sung by a female artist.

Does anyone recall the title and the artist?

I think it's called "Turn Around", alternately "Where Are You Going My Little One." It was covered by a number of singers, notably Ed Ames. Can't tell you which women did it.

Turn around and you're tiny,
Turn around and you're grown.
Turn around and you're a young wife
With a babe [or child] of your own."

"Where are you going" was written by Malvina Reynonds, ("Little Boxes"), Harry Belafonte and Alan Greene. Reynolds recorded it on her album "Malvina".
