I guess I eventually could research this myself, but what good would it do to belong to a Q&A site frequented by Jusork & Texan-In-Exile if I did so. There is an odd Pepsi commerical in which some dork rolls down streets (likely in San Francisco) on top of a red, white & blue ball. All throughout the commercial is a song that I assume is French... that sounds to my ears like... "Ooooooooh..Oooooh...Ooooooh... Oooooooh, foe shay shoo swah" (that is meant to be phonetic... not literal). Anyhow... I would like to know the specific piece of music (artist / title / album) used in the commercial.

Can you help me ?

Hi dogspit,
I think the song is "Ca Plane Pour Moi" originally by Plastic Bertrand - not sure if he is singing in the commercial. Smile dg

Here are the French and English lyrics

and the commercial itself: YouTube

Dance is definitely reaching the ranks of us music expert greats. She's been amazing around here.

Great job, Dance.

Thank you jusork, but you are too kind.
I remembered the song from when I lived in the UK, that's all. This was the sort of stuff I listened to as a teenager.
I see it described on the net as a punk song, but I never really thought of it as such. Smile dg

To the amusement of all French speakers, this very track is used in Britain to advertise a French-made family car ! Roll Eyes. The ad has it accompanying scenes of excited children getting ready to go to a party and then playing games....

It's hardly describing what children should be contemplating or hearing at parties, even in liberal France. French parents are very strict and formal compared to Anglo-Saxon ones. They'd be horrified! Big Grin
