A good challenge, Cap'n, and I've come up empty so far.

Would it help to know that Brian May recorded "Too Much Love Will Kill You" as a solo artist on his Back To The Light album released in the UK in 1992? Queen did their version several years later, in 1995.

How about this?
Now: 1992

-Just Another Day
-Brian May's Too Much Love Will Kill You
-One
-Shakespeare's Sister
-The INXS song is Baby Don't Cry
-No PM Dawn though, although you could've easily mistaken it for one of these others. What did it sound like?

Very close..... however- more info.

Apparently it was a cassette tape and was definitely earlier than '92. It was also a UK release, maybe not in the US?

How much earlier are you thinking? It couldn't be earlier than 91 since most, if not all, of these songs weren't around before 1991. What made you think it was definitely earlier than '92? The Now album above is probably a UK release. It's an import in English. I wouldn't be surprised if it came in cassette for either. Anyway, if there was another complilation that contained all these songs, it would most likely be another 1992 hits album just like this. Also, I also say the PM Dawn song must be different because they don't have a song called Deep. Can you check on that?

I will try to get some more information about the content, it might take a couple of days though as it is actually a friend's question.
She may indeed be mistaken about one or two tracks.
I appreciate the effort you are obviously putting into this.
