Last night I was watching the Melbourne Games, and I absolutely fell in love with the song "Together We Are One" that Delta Goodrem was singing at the opening ceremony. She is the most amazing singer I have ever heard!
Anyway, I've been searching everywhere for that song in a karaoke/instrumental version, and I can't seem to find it! It might be because it its a fairly new song, but I need the song in some sort of karaoke form(CD or download) before April 10th which is a karaoke contest at my school . I need all the help I can get to find this song in karaoke/instrumental version! I don't care how or where you find the karaoke song as long as its a CD or download.

I'm not able to find the song, instrumental or not, anywhere online yet. Instrumental versions of popular songs aren't usually around, anyway.

But I have a plan. I'll ask the computer section if anyone can remove vocals from a song somehow. Unless we find the clip elsewhere, you may need to buy the song or the Official Opening Ceremony album which was just released today to get it. I'll post back later.

I have downloaded the song, so I guess it wouldn't be a problem for someone in the computer section to take the vocals out if that is possible. Thanks for your help, I'll be looking back for your reply.

Sorry to say, it looks like it won't work. I don't have any other ideas, so unless someone else has some big idea or miraculously finds an instrumental of that song, I don't think you'll be able to find an instrumental version, unfortunetly. Sorry we couldn't be of more help. Might be a stretch, maybe you could find someone who can play the song, record it, and put it on CD?

I actually thought the vocals remained in karaoke because they helped sing along and they were just faintly heard by the audience. Maybe that's with a karaoke machine which you might not have?

Justin, on most karaoke CD+Gs the only vocals are background vocals. There are some that are manufactured that have the song both with vocals and without but the vocal version to practice with and the instrumental with background vocals is to perform with.

Cassandra, I have many karaoke sites bookmarked (I'm a big purchaser of karaoke CD+Gs and I checked all the sites yesterday. There are many songs for Delta Goodrem but unfortunately that one is not available. Seems it is a very recent song, performed March 15? It is usually several months before a popular song will be made available in karaoke format. Since you have managed to download it I think your best bet is to find someone who has a program that will allow them to remove the vocals (is there such a program?) and then you can burn it on a CD.

Thanks so much for trying to help, your right Georgia, I never seem to notice a popular song come out on karaoke in a few months unfortunately. I guess I'm just gonna have to pick a different song for the contest, or find someone that can remove the vocals, but it looks like thats going to be impossible so far. I do have a karaoke machine(and too many CD+G's i might mention ) and the machine can slightly fade the voice of the original singer, so I might just ask the judges of the contest if I could use it that way, but I doubt it. I'll check back once and a while just in case if anyone does find a download or CD with the karaoke version of this song.

Thank you for all that information about that karaoke maker! Before you posted about it, I got the chance to contact a karaoke dealer in my area that is willing to make me my own karaoke CD with as many songs as I would like that is going to to be made in Europe. He told me that they can change any song into karaoke and it will most likely come in 2-4 days. Hopefully, they will convert "Together we are one" by Delta Goodrem in a karaoke version for me in the next few days, if they don't, I'll most likely purchase the karaoke maker and see how it works because it seems very useful.

I have no news about the CD yet, but I do have some information about special karaoke CDs, Georgia.

Unfortunately, you don't live in my area so that you could make that same connection with this person making the CD for me, but I did ask him for some specific sites that he uses to make his custom CDs from. This is one of them
Each song that you pick for your CD is a dollar and twenty five cents.
And if you search "custom karaoke CD" on Google, a lot of links show up if your interested. The only thing that is inconvienient about this is that you usually have to have contact with a karaoke dealer to have specific songs you can't find changed into karaoke format on your disc.

I actually saw this service offered on my karaoke sites today. I went online to buy a few more CDs and saw where I could order special CDs with my selection of songs from anywhere from $3.00 to $5.00 US dollars per song. Kinda neat but I have specific versions of songs (depending on the manufacturer) so think I'll just lug around my own collection when I perform But hey, appreciate the extra info from you!

They're releasing the song as a single tomorrow. If you can wait, an Mp3 of the song might be more likely to pop up on the internet. So far, I haven't found any mp3s of it.
