Does anyone know the title of "More" in french, and the singer... around the 70's. Perhaps Sacha Distel, but I cannot find anything about...Thanks for helping me!
Tough! Tried fnac's website but all the discs they have listed are of the English version , (even when I helpfully added version francais or similarly optimistic words to the search for 'More' ).The song was originally Italian and from the film Mondo Cane. You could always try a Parisian record store with suitably knowledgeable staff and sing the song at them.Or try someone in the Sacha Distel fan club, of course. They may recognise the song in its French version (That works surprisingly well to identify music sometimes in Britain) Pity it's not a French song known in English: lyric searches do sometimes reveal such secrets then. (Who would ever guess otherwise that 'Autumn Leaves' is 'Les Feuilles mortes' ? )
Do you mean the title of the song in Italian? That's the original language of the song. It began as the theme song in the 1962 Italian movie Mondo Cane. The original Italian title is Ti Guarderò Nel Cuore. I can't find anything for sure, but I think the singer is Caterina Valente. It's a female singer you're looking for, right? Answers.com
