first off, new age is a weird term. enigma is NOT new age, it has heavy percussion, rock elements, etc etc. it's more dance than anything else...
also i want to add that i feel enigma is still popular in europe. the u.s. never seems to grab anything for too long. most people don't even know of cretu.
some things i'd recommend:
Era
Wonderful music, although not new age. if you like enigma, you'll probably like the work of eric levi.
Enigma
more dance orientated, but totally awesome. the first album is at a legendary status, and the rest, are just as awesome! his music videos are the best!
Deep Forest
Very relaxing. First album was best, the rest went downhill :-(. somewhat similar to enigma, but more indigenous to various parts.
Adiemus
Familiar sound, you'll probably like it.
Enya
Of course, who can leave her out? I love all her work, including the latest "A Day Without Rain"
Yanni
Probably new age in the true sense of the word. Beautiful piano pieces!
Kitaro
Excellent new age from Japan! very talented, with lots of floating sounds and synths. I just love "Symphony of Forest." ahh! when the brasses come in, i feel nirvana. Another god among men!
Vangelis
Very relaxing, with lots of synths and atmosphere.
Tangerine Dream
Lotsa synths. Grandfathers of New Age, Trance, and electronic music, along with Kraftwerk. They went through different phases, so listen to a bunch of stuff. ie, "Loved by the Sun"
Pink Floyd
NOT, i repeat NOT new age, but their earlier stuff and some of the later stuff are just breathtaking: example - "Marooned" <--- beautiful instrumental off of the "Division Bell." After all, i HAVE to promote my favorite band
