If you like old classics, my favorite is the Bishop's Wife with David Niven, Cary Grant and Loretta young. My very favorite Christmas movie!

Of course there's always It's a Wonderful Life
White Christmas
Christmas Vacation
A Christmas Story
Miracle on 34th Street,
Prancer
Santa Clause......

Oh, I remember one awhile back with Dudley Moore. What was that......Santa ClausSanta Claus. That was a cute show.

There's a few to start with kitty. Enjoy.

I would recommend
The Santa Clause
and
The Santa Clause 2
They feature comedian Tim Allen as The Santa Clause. They are both very funny and very cute to watch.
These links take you to the Disney site where you can view a trailer.

I would also recommed Home Alone. The movie about the kid Kevin, played by Macaulay Culkin, who gets into a fight with his parents and ends up being left behind while the rest of his family flies to Paris. It is hilarious! And cute too. Of course the sequel, Home Alone2: Lost in NewYork is very good also.

I remember another one I used to watch every year from 1983. It was calledThe Best Christmas Pagent Ever. But I believe that one has been discontinued. Frown It was about these children putting on a pagent about the real true meaning of Christmas. I loved watching that one. The movie may have been discontinued but they do have a book, which was before he movie btw.

And, as Jenni already recommended, I recommed too, White Christmas(my favorite Christmas movie. A very good musical) & Christmas Vacation(love that movie. It is hilarious!!!)

Miracle on 34th Street & It's a Wonderful Life are good too but I myself am kinda tired of them. Especially after AMC's 'the 24 hours of Miracle on 34th Street' last year. But still. If you have never seen them then like Jenni, I 'd recommend them too.

I remember watching Santa Claus with Dudley Moore every year as a child. Smile Thanks for the rememberance, Jenni Big Grin

My all time favorite is the musical "Scrooge" with Albert Finney.

Also, how about the 1972 movie, "The House Without a Christmas Tree" about a young girl who lives with cantankerous dad (Jason Robards) and all she wants is a Christmas tree but he won't allow it.

Also, Dolly Parton is in a cute TV movie and if it ever comes on try to catch it. It's called "Unlikely Angel"

Finally, I simply adore "Holiday Affair". The original is a 1949 classic but it was remade in 1996 with Cynthia Gibb and it's line for line pretty much the same as the original. And the more recent one has been on tv but if you missed it you can always rent the original.

I just realized I called you kitty! I am sooooo sorry sammy. Musta been a brain fart! Big Grin Sorry!!!!

And yes, they should all be out to rent. Most of them are all fairly older shows. I guess I depends on the video store you shop from. Mine is terrible! All they have is new releases! Their classics section is like 5 videos. Roll Eyes It's ridiculous!

I always watch A Christmas Story - and it's always hilarious! Big Grin
If you get into a cynical mood, Scrooged is the one to watch! (I love the Sugar Plum Fairy! Big Grin )
And one I haven't seen in 25 years is A Pocketful of Miracles...

As far as new Christmas movies, looks like there are 2 this year --- "Elf" is getting good reviews. I've gotta see "Bad Santa" but have been warned not to take the kids to see it with me.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Mikail loves this movie.

Miracle on 34th Street (1947) Christmas isn't Christmas without this one. Beware remakes.

No one mentioned Chevy Chase's "National Lampoon's Christmas". Watched it again this year and laughed until it hurt.
