Check this out, apparently they're rereleasing this movie in the US on July 24th. Hard Boiled is one of the greatest action films ever made (even outside of martial arts cinema, no other film can replicate the intensity of this movie!) It's a real shame that great movies like this often go unseen because of no US distribution but Dragon Dynasty is doing a great service making quality remasters of these excellent old martial arts films. Entertainment Weekly voted Hard Boiled the 9th greatest Action Movie of all time so Americans who are unfamiliar with the film really need to check it out as well as other classic martial arts movies. People who've seen the film already will be happy to know that the movie has special features and new footage so this is a great DVD release all around.

Is Hard Boiled an old martial arts film? Wasn't it made in the 90s. And John Woo doesn't actually do "martial arts" films, does he? I haven't actually seen it yet, but it's just based on what I know.
