Link and Image posting guidelines

Please observe the following rules for posting when placing images on this site.

No animated images are allowed.

Do not post images that are hosted on other web sites without their permission.

Do not post images that carry a copyright protection without expressed permission.

Please do not post any offensive images on the site. These images include, but are not limited to include, but not be limited to, pornographic, hateful, racist, or otherwise socially unacceptable images. Remember that AnswerPool.com has a worldwide user base, and something that might not be offensive in one part of the world may be very offensive in another. Consult the Administrator of the site if you are in question about an image BEFORE posting it.

Do not post full page images on the boards. These are great consumers of bandwidth and will slow the site loads and access for everyone on the site, by "bogging down" the server. The following is an acceptable image size for use on these boards:




If you want to display an image any larger than this, please post a link to the site it is on, with permission of course.

Avatars should be in gif format and should be pre sized to 48 x 48. No animated gifs please.

Following these rules will allow the most efficient use of server resources and allow the greatest speed of pageloads, insuring that our site remains a fast loading easy to use web site.

When posting links, remember that you are assuming a measure of liability and should be sure that you know the source's policies well before posting links to these sites. Of primary concern are links that could result in the endangerment of our sites members by internet predators or the possibility of "spamming mail" from sites that advertise things for free. These sites are not making money by offering things for free, and many are simply using the "free stuff" as a gimmick to build a mailing list. To insure the safe use of AnswerPool.com, we suggest a good search of any site that you provide a link to; if uncertain of the site's policy or practices, please don't post a link to it.

Members may provide a link to their own or a favourite website in their profile on the condition that its content does not contravene AnswerPool.com rules. Posting a website URL regularly, or using it as a signature in posts, is regarded as spam, and the link will be removed.
