I keep getting a pop up message" Please wait while windows configures scan". Then"the feature you are trying to use is on cd-ron that is not available. How can I stop/delete this message?
If you have an HP printer or scanner, go to start/run/type in "msconfig" (without the quotes), click the 'startup' tab and look for HP Digital Imaging Monitor, then untick it, it doesn't need to load at startup. Restart computer.
If you don't have a HP device, a little more info would be helpful!

Dear GarColga Thank you for responding. My skill level is very low. I have both HP printer & scanner. When I opened the startup list, digital Imaging monitor was not listed. Please advise me as to what information would be helpful.
From what you're describing, it sounds like a pop-up advertising message.
Pop-ups can be very very annoying and you may find it beneficial to have your system scanned for "Spyware" which can be downloaded behind your back and which can the source of much of this type of problem.
There are a variety of free yet very useful products that I can recommend. You can visit my Website at: http://dwightblackburn.com
On the left side column, click on the link titled "Spyware" and it will direct to an explanation and download area.
If you like, I can link my computer with yours and do this remotely. This is also explained under the section titled "Computer Training".
I hope this will be of some help!
