In trying to set up another Email system I ran across a little problem.

The place here furnishes computers for all us residents [from 60 to 90 people have access to these computers]

About 3 months ago management changed servers [and put on an administrator password]

I have had Yahoo as my Email (for the past so many years), but was gonna set up Outlook Express as a secondary Email system.

On the application I got down to where it asked for the incoming server (pop3) and the out going mail server (smtp).

So the question is: Where is the path to get to the information on this computer that tells me who the server for this computer is.

I tried to do a Google thing – cause I found a number on this computer: 192.168.1.67

Those ‘free’ searches and doing a reverse address translation was gonna cost me $29.95¢ - I hit the delete key.

So how does one walk up to a computer that is not his and start a new Email system – not knowing anything about who the server is for that computer.
