There are a lot of cheap options now. They are coming out with relatively small and inexpensive USB drives that can back up large amounts of data - $15 for 8G was the last I saw and it just plugs in and appears as an external drive in your directory.

I bought a 150gig external drive a year or two ago. I have the following warning... do not put all your music and photos on the backup device and then drop it. I had to remove the files from my computer because I don't have much internal memory but then I didn't think to back it up. So now I will likely have to pay to get my files recovered and they might not be intact.

Oh and do not install their ridiculous back-up software package because it never stops coming up automatically. I would just copy your important files to the USB drive and not deal with scheduled backups unless you are working from your personal computer.
