I have just Installed xp pro, after a motherboard change.

I have also spent half the night downloading updates over a dial up modem (we aint got broadband yet ?????)

At the moment I have two partions using partion magic,I am new to using this prog

Should I have major problems and need to reinstall, Which I would prefer not too.

what do I need to do to copy my op sys to another partion as a backup disc lets say called X,so If this problem should arise In the future I will be able to format and copy back the complete system back to C

Without having to wait 6 hours

If that makes sense

Howdy:

Norton Ghost or a program called Disk Copy will make a complete backup of your c: drive and you can place it on your d: drive.. Should anything happen, simply "ghost" the copy back again..
