You'd think this would be easy, but...trying to wipe a D drive disk clean but can't do anything with it. Says they can't be deleted because they are read-only files. It's full of music, do I have to delete it from WMP, or how can I do it?
Thanks for quick help.

Do you want to erase EVERYTHING or just specific files. If you want to erase EVERYTHING, then, left click the drive (D), then right click & chose "Format". That would be the quickest way of deleting all the files. The other option is to right click each file, chose "Property", then uncheck the "Read only" box. This will have to be done for EVERY file.
Thank you, cswshan. I want to erase everything, so I'll try your method #1. I don't have time to do each file individually. Will come back and tell you if it worked.
