OK, let's try this again. XP and MSN Premium.

Windows simply will not display all my programs from the start menu. I can't access all of them except through Word. Puta couldn't answer this question, but I hope someone can.

Another thing: once I have downloaded a program (or in this case, an update) I don't know how to install it. (The download site told me to download and install it, but not how to). Why is installing so difficult?

Well when you download a program you are probably saving it to your hard-drive. In order to install it you merely have to double click on the icon of the program you just downloaded. That usually opens either an install wizard assigned to that program or will automatically start downloading it.

As to why your programs aren't showing in your start menu, they will only show if a shortcut has been created and placed in your startup folder. Some are created automatically when you install them. Others you have to create yourself.

With XP, often times the Start Menu will only show the more frequented programs. If you want all your programs to appear you will need to go to your start menu and customize it by clicking the "All Programs" link.

I had to do it because they couldn't seem to fix the thing so that I could log in under my old name, cattywampus. Boo Hoo! I'm still heartbroken.

They also maybe able to alter your file to read as Cattywampus again ? And the only thing that's maybe lost is your old posts

Oh, pleeeze, Georgia, dear, we don't actually have to do anything. I am desperate to get married! I love being married.
