Didn't there use to be something in Microsoft Word - where you could type in the unwanted charactors from your E-mail and it would strip them out.

I'm talking about the "more than-less than" charactors commonly called 'crows-feet'.

I've been to Google and got a responce of 56,300 - - leading me to all kind of 'strippers' I
can download.

But I'm only interested in the path to Words built-in method.

I remember from my 98 days that Word had a built-in application where you could type in your un-wanted charactors
and leave the window that says 'replace with' empty and it would strip your Email.

Maybe these newer computer don't have that system built in any more.

If it's there would someone send me the path to it.

[Once again - don't tell me about the zillion strippers available thru Google]

Thanx much!

The feature is called "Find and replace".

1. On the Edit menu, click Replace.
2. In the Find what box, enter the text that you want to search for.
3. In the Replace with box, enter the replacement text. (In your case, leave it blank to "delete" words)
4. Select any other options that you want.
5. Click Replace, or Replace All.

To cancel a search in progress, press ESC.

Hope this was helpful!
