Further to the packet issue above Due to the nature of routing internet Traffic connections Messages especially Email and notification from Forums are given a Lower prioriy than a website hence they arrive via many stops and stored for a second or 2 on several main servers called Hubs

On average my notfications arrive 5 minutes after posting (site time) emails up to a few hours out of sync or they are lost. Though email to somebody on the same email provider are only a second or 2 at most to arrive at the other mailbox

Be aware that you cannot use the M/W link while on the New Google Chrome Browser window .But, if you "right click" the target word after Posting,as if you were going to copy it. You can link it back to Google (click the link on the menu ) You'll get a possible spell check plus defintions Galore (on a new tab)

Update on Last Item. The M/W links have been removed on this site.
If you want to continue with a Similar Function then the Google Chrome browser is very good value (Tip Do not set it as default) It works well alongside IE & Co

If you are in the Habit of checking for the postings(since your last visit) on the site link
And say on Internet Explorer link you only see a few ,open Chrome and Do the same ...You will get a few pages worth!
