Opening Norton AV options there is a part for exclusions. I was surprized to find two listings there.

*.nch and *.dbx

Should they be there? What are they related to? The .dbx sounds like audio but the .nch I have no idea even. Thanks.

Howdy:

Your .dbx files are your email folders.. inbox.dbx, deleted.dbx etc.. If your scanner is set to check inbound and outbound email, then Norton will omit them on a system scan..

Hey thanks a lot Qualserve and Murray. Both refer to mail then so apparently are ok to exclude. I do have it set to scan my mail in and out.
