I installed Firefox on both my computers...On one it seems to have slowed down the comuter considerable ( It has 256 ), so I stopped using it... The other unit is fine...(?)
My question is: What IS the advantage of using Firefox.. So far, I don't see any at all, in fact I believe some things don't work with it...
Opinions ?

For me, the advantage of using Firefox or any browser other than IE, is that virtually all the malware, adware, spyware, etc. is written to target Internet Explorer. I suspect that as Firefox becomes more and more popular, bad guys will start targeting it, but right now it is relatively safe. Plus I like some of it's features, the themes and extensions available, like mouse gestures, FTP client, and so on.

Since there are programs for all those problems - and I have them - then Mozilla is superflous...

So, unless I heard anything else, its agonna be bye-bye Firefox...

I love Firefox. The main reason is security. I love the tabs! I don't get popups, the icons are nicer and its simple to use. I get an automatic google bar and I can can add any extension that IE has. I think its great! The only feature I like better is IE Spell. But then, all I have to do is learn how to spell and I won't have any problems at all! Wink Smile
