I just bought new ink for my computer’s printer a few days ago and the magenta cartridge is not working right. When I have it print red it keeps printing a light yellow color instead of red. I have a Brother printer.

I thought it was the cartridge that was messed up but when I took it back to the place where
I bought it, at a ink store. The guy that works there told me that the cartridge was find and he thought that my printer was stopped up with dry ink. The printer has a setting where it cleans it self but I’ve made it clean it self close to 20 times and have run many test pages but still I get yellow instead of red.

I asked the guy a the ink store on how to clean it and all he had to say was to let the printer set for a few days and maybe it will work. Is there any way I could clean it to maybe get the magenta cartridge to work right?

Choose from HERE the model/type then go into FAQs & Troubleshooting, then to Ink Management, then to "One or more of my colours are not printing".
