On my HP A630N Computer I keep getting a message that says:
Message_BODY IS A MANDATORY FIELD. YOU MUST ENTER A VALUE FOR IT.
This appears every time I trt to answer a question on AnswerPool.com
Does anybody know how to remove this condition so that I can answer question that I have knowledge about.
Don *************************************************************** 09-28-04, 09:24 PM mozart56 Looks like you're stuck with the same problem you had earlier, Don.
Since then,I found something new that might help you.Lately I got again the same "mandary field...bla bla" problem. When trying to reply, that message would show up again. It was due to my "server".
Uninstall it and reinstall it from the CD.Mine is MSN 9.
Make sure you uninstall from the control panel "install-uninstall" and #2 from (start-my computer- open local disc C- open program files- found server program and delete which ever server you have), then reinstall from CD your server.
Something happens in your personnal settings " don't know how and why" but one of these modifications have to do with your "server settings"
It worked for me!Let me know about it! Smile *************************************************************** 09-28-04, 10:14 PM Professor Are you using MSN?
I had exactly this problem last year with MSN 9 dial-up. After many failed maneuvers, it finally went away when I disabled the pop-up blocker built in to the MSN browser -- even though I was actually using IE for browsing! Go figure. Hope this helps. *************************************************************** 09-29-04, 05:55 AM donaldekliros Mozart:
Thanks for reminding me about my earlier post regards to this problem.
I am going to insert a new User Account for now & will work toward uninstalling MSN later.
This is troubling me because I am not sure what will happen when I delete MSN using Add/Remove since I do not have a CD-R with MSN on it.
Just a note to let you know that inserting a new User acct that my Answerpool works & I am able to answer the questions now.
Professer:
How do you find the MSN pop-up blocker?
To both:
I sure would like to get my original program problem resolved since all of my Icons are there. I loose most of my Icons in the new User Acct.
Don *************************************************************** 09-29-04, 07:32 AM donaldekliros I finally reinstslled MSN
Well, it finally took, after reinstalling MSN. I am now able to answer questions from Answerpool on my original Acct.
Thanks, Mozart & Professor
Don. *************************************************************** 09-29-04, 02:56 PM mozart56 Don, if it happens again and you'd whish to disable "pop-up blocker" Here's how.

Top of your browser's page (msn explorer).
-click "help & settings". OK
-click "settings". OK
-click on #3 OK
-choose "filter settings". Nothing there
-choose "off".
-click "save changes" Smile
*************************************************************** 10-03-04, 06:01 PM mozart56 You probably don't have "msn 9" what are your choices when you click on #3 ( which should read...Select Pop-ups guards settings)? *************************************************************** 10-04-04, 08:15 AM donaldekliros Mozart56:
I have Win XP Home Edition & yes I do have MSN 9.
The three items under item No. 3 are:
1.) Filter Settings
2.) Notifications
3.) Pop-up allow list
I clicked on each of these items & there is no information under any of them.
Don *************************************************************** 10-04-04, 09:21 AM mozart56 Maybe you ought to reinstall. After clicking on "filter settings" it should bring you to the next page where you have three choices: "exclusive","filter" and "off".
clicking on "off" would disable "pop-ups" guard.
I've also noticed that playing with the "accelerator" might bring up similar problems, mentioned on this post. *************************************************************** 10-04-04, 01:41 PM donaldekliros Mozart:
I just reinstalled MSN 9 today about 10:00.
Don

For some crazy reason, the 'filter setting' finally showed up & the items that you mentioned were there. I clicked the 'off" tab & am now ready for whatever comes.
Don *************************************************************** 10-23-04, 02:31 PM Professor I'm out of town with my laptop and only MSN dial-up to get online. The "Message Body Is..." error cropped up again but I made a discovery: You must TURN OFF THE MSN DIAL-UP ACCELERATOR.
Right click on the little computer icon in the system tray adjacent to the clock (usually lower right corner of the screen). With MSN 9 Dial-Up installed I get a menu of settings for the accelerator, ranging from Level 4...Level 1 and None.
Click "None" when navigating AnswerPool and this particular error message [should / might] go away. At least it worked for me. *************************************************************** 10-23-04, 11:04 PM mozart56 Professor,I had already mentioned the "accelerator" above, but the extra infos are always welcome. Smile Besides this,I received an update from Microsoft to download.I did and I couldn't post or reply on AP or DP. This time I got a blank page with "done" in the bottom left of the page.So I immediately got rid of it. This update or patch# is XP KB834707. *************************************************************** 10-24-04, 10:23 AM Professor Mozart: Sorry I missed your earlier mention of the dreaded accelerator. Hate when that happensThis message has been edited. Last edited by: DorianGreyed,
