The http://conroz.com/portfolio.htm Website is quite unique isn't it. I suggest you just create a new shortcut to it on your Desktop, then delete the old non-working one.

I assume the shortcut you're using is on the Desktop. I suggest you try this...add a new shortcut to the desktop and then delete the old one. Here is how:
(1) Open the http://conroz.com/portfolio.htm page
(2) Click File
(3) Choose "Send" -> Desktop (Create shortcut)
(4) Close the Conroz page
(5) Go to the Desktop and test your new shortcut
(6) Assuming that your new shortcut works correctly, delete your old one.

Step One

Go to your Desktop. You may see this icon...

Or you may see this one...

I would suggest you give the icon a simpler name, like this maybe

How to rename a shortcut. Right click on the icon, then choose Rename. Type in your new name and press "Enter".

Now for the images...I wrote a Webpage about changing a "File Association", which you can look at for the image problem.

However it might be simpler to pick your favorite graphics program and use that program to change the association. For instance, in IrfanView you click on "Options", then "Set File Associations". Check the file type that you want associated with the IrfanView program. (IrfanView is a free download and it is excellent, in my opinion).

You may not be see the (usually) 3-letters which show you the file type. For some reason that I do not understand, Microsoft set the Windows default to "Hide file extensions for known types". Doing that means that if you don't recognize the file type icon, you don't know what the file type is. You can set Windows to show the file extension by opening your "My Computer", then in the *Tools menu, choose "Folder Options". Uncheck the option: "Hide file extensions for known types". I usually also recommend that the option to show the full path in the title bar option be checked. Then click the OK button.

I hope this helps!

Dwight

*Note: For Windows 95 and Windows 98, click the "View" menu to see the "Folder Options" command.
