A friend of mine cannot add sttionery to his emails in OE. I have sent him some in an email and when he saves as stainery the page is blank if he wants to use it. If he tries to use the stationery already installed with OE all he gets is a red X, can you tell me how to fix this problem? As long as it is not too complicated. Thank you again LL.

I assume that this computer is on a home system; not a corporate setup where firewalls or server restrictions might be a factor.

Further, I assume the message format is set to "Rich Text HTML".

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the OE program? If this is Windows XP, this can be done in the Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs applet.

Use the "Add-Remove Windows Components" and uncheck the OE option. OK it and then restart the computer. Go back into the Add-Remove and recheck the OE option so that OE is reinstalled. Check to see if this corrected the problem.

Thank you Dwight I will go to my cousin's house on Friday and check this last message out. One question for you if I do what you say, will he loose his adress book with all of his contacts and some of his emails that he is keeping in different folders? Or will it be once I reinstall OE all will come back?

Thank you again LL

He might want to print out the list of his outlook contacts just in case.

Keeping backups is always important. You can read about how to backup Outlook messages and address book information here: http://dwightblackburn.com/backup/backups.htm

However, uninstalling, then reinstalling will not normally result in the loss of any messages or addrss book information.
