We have Windows 98. This is the message I am getting when I try to use SEARCH in the EXPLORER BAR. Yahoo Search is working O.K. It was working fine a few days ago. This is a new problem. Google has a lot of articles on this subject but I didn't understand if this is an external or internal problem. DD

Change Save As Type to All Files

Save the file with the name fixsearch.reg

Save the file to a location that you can remember, Desk top is ok
Close Notepad

Find that file
Double click on fixsearch.reg
Click yes when it asks if you want to merge

Restart your computer

Now try a search

You may also want to get Ad-aware and/or Spybot-S&D and check for spyware/adware.

You probably had your search bar hijacked by some piece of software or another.
