I'm having difficulty creating folder names in all caps on my laptop at home. I know how to name a folder, and I've never had difficulty with all caps but now when I name a folder such as IMV when I finish naming it the folder changes names to Imv. Any ideas what is happening?
My laptop totally crashed this past year and I had to have it totally reloaded. It originally had Windows 2000 on it but it now has Windows 98. With 2000 I had no problem with the folder names. Is this something that Windows 98 has a conflict with?
I know, I know, I need a modern upgrade but this version was the only one a friend had for a complete install. And I know having a folder in all caps is a minor detail but what can I say, I know what I want!

We had a similar problem and it turned out there was a setting in the computer somewhere that autocorrected file names. But for the life of me I can't remember where it is. You might search for it.
Sorry I couldn't be more help George.
