My niece says she can't open photos in IE or in her email program - all have the red "x." I want to tell her to open them in WinPhoto/Fax or some other like program (if she has one) but I can't even find mine!

All help appreciated.

First, there is a setting in Internet Explorer to not open images. She may be able to reset that to the default value (IE to open images). This is done in the Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Multi Media

If that doesn't work, I would highly suggest she install the free graphics program Irfanview. This program displays most image types and has many other built in features that make it very useful. The download page is at http://irfanview.com

Once installed, I suggest she also add all the plug-ins. The download link for the plug-ins is at the same address.

Thank you, Dwight. I sent your information to her; hopefully she will be able to sort it out.
