I have AOL, & immediately on startup, the welcome screen minimizes where I have to hit restore to get the screen back up again. It wasn't always like this, & was wondering what happened, and what I can do to keep it on the screen at startup, till I minimize it. Thanks for any info. Roll Eyes

Give this a try. Right click on the AOL shortcut and choose "Properties". Look in the "Run" section and see if it is set to "Minimized". If so, reset it to "Normal Window" or to "Maximized". Then click "OK" to close the window.

Select your "Run" option by clicking on the black inverted triangle in the "Run" box. When you've made your selection, click "OK".

I hope this helps!

I tried what you suggested Dwight, but all the controls were on normal, and it only minimizes on the welcome screen for some reason. I tried a few other things, but no soap. If I remember correctly, this only started happening when I switched to version 8.0. Guess I'll have to live with it, unless I get more suggestions, or version 9.0 will straighten it out. Thanks anyway. UJAY------

Ujay:

Try going back to the previous Version of AOL.

If this clears the problem, then someting is wrong with the
CW-R Disk that has AOL Version 8 copied on it.

Try setting the "Maximized" position in the Run box and see if that makes any change.

Also, there may be a setting within AOL that you can change the view preference. Try clicking the "View" menu and see if there is a command for viewing preference. If you don't see anything there, try the "Preferences" menu. I'm sorry, I don't use AOL so I don't have a program window to look in. Perhaps another "Poolie" who uses AOL will have a better answer.

Try this (I have AOL 8)
Does exactly the same on V.7.0
Click on Window,Top of screen, (Next to "Sign Off").
Now look down the menu list for the item called "Remember Window Size Only"(Middle of list) and click on it might? get a "tick" against that entry to show its active?
This will stop your "collapsing" Windows Ujay Wink
