Just recently , when I bring up Notepad , the left hand side of it does not come on to the screen . The words " Edit , Format , View and Help show , but Save does not . Trying to " pull " the Notepad box over by pulling the right hand side does nothing . Of course , I can't get in to move the left hand side over . How can I get Notepad to once more completely get onto the screen ? Thanks !

Are you viewing the Window "Full-screen"? when you open Notepad?
If so, click on the Title bar Once
Has the window shrunk to a smaller size? And all the Menu names showing?
If this has done the Trick then Resize the Window by dragging the edges or Corners
Next click the Red X box (top right of the Window) to close the window
Next step, open another Notepad window It should be the Same size as the Window you closed Complete with all menus

I think you closed a "Full screen" or oversized Window and when you reopened it Window Gave you an Identically sized window and the missing "File" Menu is Just off screen
Tip The menu ( And Window edges) can be "Moved" into view by moving the Mouse pointer onto the Blue title bar at the top of the Page then Hold down the Left mouse button and the Window will Move easily

As you said dragging the right Edge does "Nothing" (correction, you are pulling the page sides out /in)
Best way to Square it up ( when "resizing" )is in the bottom left or right corners and make a Window sized to suit your needs
