I have lost my H.P.Organize Icon on my Desktop. What do I need to do to recover it short of doing a System Recovery

Hi Don
This works with any Program Open the Start menu Look for the HP Organize Link you'd
Obviously Press to Open the Page/start it up or what have you ?
Instead of Left clicking to Start the progam(does not work on the Main Name entry) has to be the "Choices" links OK?
Right Click to show a Menu Look about 2/3rds of the way down and You'll see the Words "Create Shortcut" Click it and a New Desktop Icon that Points to the Link Has been created Cool
NOTE System Restore may not restore that Icon?
It concentrates on the Mechanics of the Program

Be aware of where the link is deposited On Mine when I tried it they materialized somewhere internally Perhaps the Program Files folder? Confused

There is also a much easier fast way to try.
And that is to find the link on the Start menu as before Left click on it and Hold the Button Down then Drag it off the list and release ...1 instant shortcut Smile (Program may open if you are slow? But You'll still have your short cut to come back to on the Desktop Cool Time to Do a second if that? Smile

Don't understand this Statement.

I knew this. I did a System Recovery & did not recover the H P Organize Icon as it has always appeared before when I did a System Recovery.

Will go deeper Later if need be?

Bedstor:

When I reviewed my Startup after doing a Start/All Program. I found that the Startup Option was Empty.

To attempt to remedy this I did another System Recovery. After that completed its course, I finally got my H.P. Organize Icon back. In addition I found six items in my Startup under the AllPrograms group. I also found the H.P. Organize tab in the list of six items. I am now back in business. Thanks for your suggestions.
