That is the System command to error check and "Fix" the Hard drive on the Run Box
But there is an easier way to do the same thing ...No typing
This is for XP (Vistas route may be Similar?)
Open the Start Menu, click "My Computer"
Find the C: drive STOP! Right Click on the Icon,On the Menu select Properties click this.
New window opens click on the Tools Tab(2nd from left side)
another Window with 3 choices the top button is the Error check scan, click the Button and tick both the Boxes in the next message box to repair any damage,Click the Start button in this Box and Have a cup of tea (May take a while?)

After the scan has finished Run a Defrag,
The "glitch" error won't show again ,and you'll find a small speed up when accessing the Web for a while Wink

Just a little add-on to what bedstor has mentioned, after clicking both boxes and clicking on the "Start" button, it may tell you it needs exclusive access to the drive and ask if you want it to run on the next restart of the machine. Tell it yes, then restart the computer.
