I am buying a Dell Inspiron 6000 from my son. I have a couple of questions. First, is I want to transfer Incredimail to the new computer but every time I go to import/export messages it wants to transfer his messages and he never used incredimail. I did get his name off Microsoft Outlook and mine added but it still wants to download his emails. Another thing is I belong to MSN groups and some of the games they have on there have images I guess is what you would call them and with this computer not all of the images load into the game or all the images in the peoples reply boxes show up. I wondered if you knew if this could be the computer messing up or MSN. If you need any more info, I'll be glad to get it to you, I know these questions are vague. Thanks

The short answer to the first part of your query is there are still personalised folders with your sons name on them. So what you do is delete the Cookies and History files Fastest way to do this is download and install CCleaner ( www.ccleaner.com)
and run the scan with all the boxes ticked And then run the Registry cleaner section
Under normal circumstances The best way to run this program is to untick several boxes before you scan OK? There are several postings (by Me) around the forum on what boxes should be unticked OK?
And Run a Defrag To tidy up things once you have done this

NOTE Uninstall Incredimail before you start CCLeaner...Install again afterwards Wink

Things should run smooothly now Smile

I was thinking prefetch cache but that is cleared by ccleaner Frown

The place to look for the root of this issue now is in the Registry

But all cleaners look in different places
Confused

There is an older cleaner which you can try to clear any odd files overlooked by ccleaner
and is still powerful

Its called Easycleaner and can be downloaded from http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts

Navigation is easy on the homepage press the button to where you want to do
Size of the program is 2.81 MB

BTW Here are the download links and several screenshots (down the page) Smile http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm

Excuse me bedstor, but RegScrubXP might be of some use here, the link follows:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2048

Easy to use, very good registry cleaner for Windows 2000 and XP. I didnt see where the Operating system was mentioned, so thought I'd throw this out here. Hope this helps.

Its possible that the Personal information held at in Icredimail is preventing you from altering things

Suggest that you tell your Son about this. and he can alter the preferences perhaps at the site end, or on his new computer?
