I’ve got all my lesson plans stored on my Flash Drive.

I’ve got about 150 lesson plan.

So I found out that I had skipped the number 33 - - - I went from # 32 to # 34.

So I made another lesson plan – named it # 33 and sent it to my Flash Drive.

It stored it at the bottom of the list.

To get it into its numerical position – I had to move the Icons one by one – from number 150 up to when I created a space between # 32 & 34 – then I dragged the # 33 icon up to that space and dropped it in.

Now Question: When you shut your Flash Drive down and unplug it – isn’t it suppose to align things (the numbered icons) up numerically ?

How come in the beginning it put the icon of the lesson plan at the bottom instead of dropping it in the numerical position ?

On you ‘favorites’ and on the drop down list – you can drag a URL from anywhere and drop it in between two other URL’s and the computer will scoot the other two URL’s apart and make room for the new URL that’s just been dropped in.

Why won’t the Flash drive do the same ?

Was there an easier way to move the Icons? Perhaps ‘lasso’ a whole bunch of them?

For the desktop you can click the little goodie and your Icons will align them selves. - - Is there a setting to make the icons in the flash drive to be self alignment?

Try this..

Plug in your drive Open the folders up
Right click in an empty space To get the Menu
Select Arrange icons by Select Name and they will now be in order
When you add a New Item it will be added to the tail of the list But Open the Menu up again and click "Name" it will line up
2nd Item to keep it together easily overlooked
Is Lower down on the same Menu is 3 items Click on Auto Arrange
Be aware that this arrangment is for this Folder only.Other Folders (such as Images) may have another item or 2 to arrange things OK?
