Windows Installer window keeps opening up & is very difficult to close. How do I remove Or disable it & will doing so cause proplems? I have WinXP.
My level of expertice is low, so please take me step by step.

Windows installer needs to be either reinstalled or updated. I suggest you go to Windows Update and insure that you have the latest updates.

Windows Update: Windows Internet Explorer/Tools/Windows Update

Please try this step first.
