Last night a friend of mine came over. They had been trying to send an instant message, but kept getting an error message saying they couldn't communicate with me. We chat just about every nite. So me not believing it signed in and went to send an instant message and got the same error message. Can't remember word for word but had to do with same as friends, cannot communicate with contact. So I blocked this contact then unblocked them. After I did that no more error message. Has anyone ever had this happen? My friend is thinking their spouse may have installed some program to watch them. Or see what they are up to on the computer. Could that be possible? Thanks
A year or two ago I did run into software that would allow you to track someone's activity on the Net.
Things I have learned through years of dealing with MSN:
1. They suck. 2. IM sucks worse. If you have contacts listed, IM will tell you when any of them logs in, whether they're calling you or not. I got sick and tired of closing all those little windows so I deleted all contacts except Dwight. 3. Their error messages are not always indicative of the problem; they may be talking about something completely different. 4. If you want to IM, try yahoo. 5. See #1
