When I'm making a lesson plan - tutorial for my students - I make the font size big enough that the lesson fills one page.

Sometimes the font size covers the first page and makes the lesson continues on to the 2nd page.

So I reduce the font size until the 'hand-out' fits one page.

But Microsoft Word does not return to a one page print-out. It still shows a two page lesson plan article - but the second page is blank.

If I then print it out - I get my article (page 1) and the printer spits out an empty page (pg.2)

I know I can ask the printer to just print p.1 - - but I don't want Microsoft sending that blank page over there in the first place.

So How do I erase/delete that 2nd page while I'm still making up the lesson plan while still in MicroSoft Word ?

Thanks again - twice today

There is likely some non-printing characters that force an extra page when printing. The page is blank, but the printer still runs it through the printer.
An easy way to prevent this:

In the Print Preview page, set the view multiple pages
Place your cursor just to the right of the last printing character on the page, then press the Delete key until the extra page no longer appears.

You can see non-printing characters by using the show/hide tool in Word. If you can see them, you could delete them manually, too.
