You can download/install the trial version of Winzip from http://winzip.com The newest version is 11.1 I suggest you first uninstall the PeaZip before installing the Winzip. Be sure to allow the file association with the RAR and whatever other compressed file types you may need. Winzip can be used in trial mode until the end of the trial period, then must be purchased. If you would prefer, you can uninstall the winzip when you are done with the files you need now, then after uninstall you will see the extract option restored to your right-click menu. You can download an earlier version of Winzip which has a much longer trial period. Version 10.0 OldVersion software would be a good choice. Dwight

Right click on the compressed file (zipped, etc) and choose "Open With" from the options. You may need to use the "Choose Program" option to locate the Compressed (Zipped) Folders option. Use this to allow Windows XP to extract compressed files. See this picture If the picture is too small to read, click on it to enlarge. If this doesn't work, you can restore the Extract All Files wizard which is the Windows XP standard extraction tool. I won't go into the details now, but if the above doesn't work, post again and I will go through one method that I know to work. This does involve installing Winzip version 10.0, then setting the options list to allow the right-click menu to restore the Windows default extraction tool. You can then keep or remove Winzip at your discretion. Dwight
