My computer crashed the other day so I grabbed the disc that came with my son's computer and installed Vista, now I get a red x by my volume button and a message that appears when I click on it that says, No audio output device is installed. I have a dell inspiron 6000. I have tried sever sites to update the driver with no avail. Any suggestions to get my volume back?

If you look at the details for the audio driver in the list, you'll notice that the audio driver is indeed compatible with Windows Vista (32bit).
