I thought this was a mis-post
What you are referring to is what ranking keywords play when searching for an article on the Web Usually site owners put a hidden file with a list of words which gets picked up by the search engine "Spider"/s and is indexed in several dozen streams all with the same word. But if you don't pay your site will be near the bottom of the list unless your word is unique or uncommon
Hugh might be able to tell you more, but I haven't seen him online for a while
To see this at work, click on this link: Google Suggest start typing and several suggestions with possible hits for that word come up Can do it with up to 3 keywords .Even indexes the misspells
I replaced my Original Google Homepage
with this.One of their best ideas
I typed the posting header in came up with
5750 hits but over 23 million when I opened the search That's why it's still in Beta with decrepancies like this
But I find the search keywords are more precise (if your spelling is not too hot )or you are useless at searching

Oh, gosh, bedstor, maybe it was a mispost.

I found this phrase on a job site. They were calling for writers to write "keyword articles." I suspect that's different from what you're talking about, but...who knows?

You know, it's odd but when I first joined AP I asked, why don't people use SEs instead of coming here, and I was roundly set upon and battered about for even asking.

Sounds like a no-win situation to me - damned if you do, damned if you don't.

That link I posted was the first hit on a Google search of "keyword article" and it would be difficult to read it and not come away with the knowledge of what was meant by the term keyword article.
