I installed wipe expert, it had a 15 day free trial. I used it for a few days then unistalled it through add/remove programs. Now whenever I boot up my computer a box appears to run, buy or unistall wipe expert. I have clicked, cancel, unistall etc... It keeps appearing. I even unchecked it to start up at boot. Not sure how to get rid of it.

Hm, that's odd. I didn't have that problem. Do you still have the program you downloaded, say the installer or zipped file?

Try re-installing it. Then check to see if it came with an uninstall option, if so use that - that will take out the erroneous bits and pieces before Windows Add/Remove option. Even if it didn't come with an uninstall option, perhaps the second time around with Add/Remove will get it all.

OR/AND

Check the web site you got it from, see if they have a contact person (tech support) 'splain to them that you used the trial period and now can't remove it -

You might also try deleting temporary internet files.

Becca, did that solve your problem? When you uninstall theres a chance the folders are still in your system.Try doing a search of all your folders for wipe expert, then delete the ones that are related.

If that doesn't work you'll have to go to run, type in msconfig. There will be a tab called startup, click on it, and uncheck anything that has wipe expert related to it. That should keep it from starting up, each time you boot up. Don't worry about the window that comes up after you reboot, saying your startup settings have changed, it's okay.
