Not good news 1 person got it to work without drivers
This is the List of unsupported Lexmark Printers
Suggest you keep an eye for a swap for another Make of printer that will run Ubuntu/Linux with no driver issue or Just works.
No driver to add.Just the Installation disk .

Now the good news Dodge. On an Australian Linux forum Topic They found that only 3 Brands are supported and they
are Brother,HP and Epson As to the Models I cannot tell you what the cost of them is and B) Are they current Models?
May have to look on Ebay or Gumtree http://forums.whirlpool.net.au...ive.cfm/1050719.html
Just out of edit time That link is really good even has the Names of the drivers (no downloads) and what they can and
cannot do I'd favourite it If I was you, and you can shout out the Driver code when you are ready As for your Printer
it is rated by them as a "Paperweight" (Lowest rating)

Linux developers tend to write drivers for printers they own. Lexmark printers tend to be the biggest ink wasters, dependent
on Windows GDI for rendering, and a pain to refill (anti-refill chip). These qualities make Lexmarks unattractive to devs,
in other words, geeks are cheap, and Lexmark printers are built to waste money.
