Hi,
It appears that the Indian military has a significant number of soldiers of north-eastern Indian origin,as is indicated by their mongoloid appearence.What do u think?

I serve in the US military with people of all different races. I've met people only a single generation from Russian, German, Canadian, Mexican, Arabic and Chinese descent. I've also met other services members (serving in the US military) who are still citizens of Kenya, the Philippines, China, and the Dominican Republic. I don't think any kind of diversity can surprise me, and I never get the impression that any of them are spies or terrorists or infiltrators. They're just common people.

(Our ship did have two clean-cut, young federal agents infiltrate the ship as engineers looking for drug dealers. They were pretty easy to spot. We really didn't know who they really were, but we all knew they were different. They ended up busting about a dozen or more people as users and dealers.)

U know my intention wasn't to look at them with suspicion at all. Here in India with the kind of coverage that is given to the Kashmir problem and the lack of it for the separatist struggles in the NE of India, most Indians wouldn't even look with faint suspicion at the locals there. I was just trying to initiate a discussion on the possibility of a large number of young men from the region joining the Indian army because of a great lack of employment opportunities there as the Indian Govt. has economically neglected the region for many decades
