Could you have "brought" your way out of Military service (Can do in the UK Forces) either As a conscript or a Regular? I saw the UK rules on this somewhere many years ago, and they were both complex and expensive Needed a good Lawyer to work it out

This hasn't been an option in the US since the Civil War (isn't that a contradiciton in terms?)
If called here, your options are rather limited.
