Science experiments for kids.

What are some experiments (fun stuff) that can be done in the house with typical household products?

I can remember something about getting an egg inside a bottle?

Any and all ideas will be appreciated.

If you can invest a few days, these projects are simple yet interesting:

To demonstrate vinegar's effect on calcium, soak a chicken bone in vinegar for several days until it is flexible!

Place a flower in a glass of water to which food coloring has been added and watch the petals change colors! (This may take a day or two; works better if the stem is short and the flower is white or pastel.)

Plant three of the same kind of seeds in three separate containers. Use water of different temperatures for each one: hot, cold, and room temperature. See which one sprouts and grows the fastest.
