Cheers Fred 100 yards is a Guess could be a furlong? I've been a few times usually watch from Bechers ,Canal turn , or Valentines My first Grand National was the year Oxo won (1959) and It was frosty or it had snowed Out of season? And we watched from the Melling Road crossing I was 4 years old Ah diddums !

It must be a bit over a furlong. The run in from the last fence to the winning post is officially stated as 494 yards. The Elbow is near enough halfway.
