He's the poor schlepp who was made very famous by Wide World of Sports...as the guy who represented "the agony of defeat" by slipping while in a ski jump competition and falling off the jump. As bad as it looked, all he got out of it was a concussion, if I remember. I do know he wasn't severely injured.

Got it, Jelp. Slovenian Bogataj was the showpiece for "the Agony of Defeat" for ABC's Wide World of Sports, careening down both the side of the jump tramp, and the side of the landing slope. Bogataj may have been the most widely seen athlete in the 20th Century. Most reports say he had a mild concussion. One quoted him as saying that he did it deliberately after seeing how icy the approach was, knowing that he would out-jump the sloped part of the landing area.
