On June 13th, 1957, Ted Williams hit his three home runs off Early Wynn and Bob Lemon, both Hall-of-Famers, of the Indians. (A third Indian pitcher, the not-exactly-Hall-of-Famer Hank Aguirre, managed to go unscathed against the Splendid Splinter). Incidentally, he had hit three homers in a game a month earlier, on May 8th, against the White Sox. Bob Keegan was the unlucky pitcher to give up all three homers in that one.
