It was the Duke of Beaufort, and his country place was called "Badminton" (in Gloucestershire), as you have shown, Jenny, Once again, nice job !

An interesting note: Your source has an almost identical first paragraph as did my two sources, wording, sentence structure, and all. Doesn't anyone even try to hide the fact that they steal someone's work?
