I'm rather ignorant on this subject, I'm hoping someone can clue me in on this.

How are the Consumer Price Index, cost of living, and inflation related?

Does it depend on region?

Do companies look at the CPI to determing annual cost of living pay raises?

If so, what would my cost of living raise be if I were to get it right now? (Greater Cincinnati area).
