Does anyone know of a site where you can calculate the value of today's dollar against other years? i.e., How many dollars you would need today for the equivalent buying power $1,000 would have 5, 10, 25 years ago?

Try this site. It has current and future values of money, talks about the Consumer Price Index and inflation and the economy. Now I will become an expert at this stuff, yesterday I accepted a Economics teaching position at Gateway Community College. Call me Professor!

Thank you both. And congratulations Professor VV, I know you will make an excellent teacher. Good luck, and remember, "The gerbil ate my homework" isn't a valid excuse. Smile If your discussion of federal tax policy ever bogs down, hit them with "They can't take that away from me." Smile
